PRICE HISTORY
How to spot a fake online discount
A large percentage badge can be persuasive even when the reference price is unhelpful. Focus on the product’s recent selling range and the exact variant.
Look beyond the MRP
Compare recent prices from trustworthy sources, not just the crossed-out number. A product that is “70% off” may have been sold near the current price for months.
Check coupons and conditions
Some discounts require a bank card, minimum cart value, subscription, or a particular seller. Include those conditions in the comparison.
Use a wait rule
If the current price is ordinary and you do not need the item, watch it for a few days. If it is near a documented low and the return terms are good, buying may make sense.
